Smara
Smara comes from Baba Budan, where Indian coffee began in the 17th century. The estate has farmed here since the 1890s under multi-tier shade at 1,200m, giving the bean its dark chocolate and mild floral notes. Cherries are washed, soaked overnight in spring water, then sun-dried.

Frequently asked questions
Do you supply to cafes?
Yes. We work with independent specialty cafes running guest filter programmes. If that sounds like you, visit our [wholesale page] to see how we work and get in touch.
Can I try a sample before ordering?
Yes. Email us at beans@kamacoffee.co.uk and we'll sort one out. We turn samples around quickly.
What happens when a lot sells out?
We source from one to two estates in Bababudangiri and Manjarabad, so supply is seasonal and finite. When a lot is gone, it's gone. We don't manufacture urgency — we'll tell you honestly when stock runs out and when the next shipment is expected. Pre-orders open ahead of each new lot.
How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?
Roasted in Bristol our roasting partner TripleCo Roast, shipped within days of roasting. Date roasted is printed at the bottom of the bag. Best consumed within 6-8 weeks.
